Lot Number Having Expiration Date In Future Is Not Available To Reserve Or Transact

Find that even though the Material Workbench shows On-Hand Quantity for an Item/Lot, a reservation cannot be placed for the lot and the lot cannot be transacted.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to On-hand, Availability > Reservations
2. Try to place a new reservation for an item using a lot that is not expired and has on-hand quantity.
3. When the lot is entered, the quantity goes to 0 and the reservation cannot be placed.
