Symptoms
E-Business Suite 12.2 Web Applications Desktop Integrator, WEBADI template issues
Web Applications Desktop Integrator templates are opening in protected mode by default when downloading from Internet Explorer.
For example downloading a WebADI template from Oracle Trade Management Administrator > Desktop Integration > Create Document results in the following message:
WEBADI template is Protected mode
In EXCEL, below setup already exists
Click the File tab.
Click Options.
Click Trust Center.
Click the Trust Center button.
Click on Trust Center Settings
Click on Protective view.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to EBS application
2. Select "Oracle Trade Management Administrator > Desktop Integration > Create Document"
3. Downloads the excel in local machine.
4. The excel sheet opens in protected mode by default.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot get the excel downloaded from EBS in unprotected mode by default.
