Goal

The goal of this document is to provide instructions to consolidate datafiles scattered across multiple locations into one single folder. To accomplish this task, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  1. A source database with datafiles scattered across multiple locations
  2. A database in your target environment, that will have all the datafile in one single location.

You might want to perform this activity when cloning your Oracle E-Business Suite instance where the datafiles are stored in different locations, and need to have them all into one single place only in your newly cloned environment.

DISCLAIMER: The instructions provided in this note are provided for educational purposes only, and they are not supported by Oracle Support. It has been tested internally, however, we do not guarantee that it will work for you. Ensure that you run it in your test environment before using this method.
