12.2 E-Business Suite User Management Proxy Role User Cannot Access Concurrent Requests From Proxy Responsibility After An Upgrade From 12.1 To 12.2 (Doc ID 2460901.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 08, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle User Management - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2 User Management, User Interface Proxy Delegation related issues

When using Role Based Access Control (RBAC) to give users access to run concurrent programs, responsibility proxy delegation does not allow users access to the RBAC granted functions.

Thus the grantee is not able run any concurrent programs, after the responsibility has been assigned via proxy delegation.

When the responsibility proxy delegation is added to a request group of the responsibility the RBAC granted functions work fine.

For example:

A role is given access to concurrent programs and concurrent request to allow request submission and view request logs and output files.

The role inherits a responsibility. The user (for Example USER A) who has been granted this role can login with responsibility and submit requests and view log/output files.

User A grants proxy role to User B which allows User B to perform the same function as proxy user.

This setup was working in 12.1.3 but after upgrade to 12.2.6, User B cannot see any requests in LOV when he goes to submit requests i.e User B is not identified as proxy for User A.
