Not Able to Settle Claim Get Message Quantity Cannot Be Greater than Original Ordered Quantity

Not able to settle a claim as getting message Quantity Entered cannot be larger than original ordered quantity.
But the original order was for a qty = 10, and we are only aware of an actual return for a qty = 3, with the latest claim for qty = 5 so it should still be under the original qty.
quantity cannot be greater than original ordered quantity
CLAXXXX1 raised x 3 and processed no problem. created RMA 6000011243
CLAXXXX2 raised x 3 and processed but was actually a duplicate so was cancelled.
CLAXXXX3 has since been raised for another 5 but won’t allow us to request approval as the system seems to think we are trying to credit 11 when there was only 10 on the original.
Claims should successfully get settled without any error.
