Symptoms
On : R12, Transactions Related
When attempting to query a transaction range (which includes any record that cannot pass tax validation) on the Tax Summary page, the following error occurs.
ERROR System cannot determine geographical information for this location and cannot derive a tax jurisdiction, please contact your system administrator
Tax Validation='Warning' in TCA Geography Hierarchy
Many addresses that cannot pass tax validation for various reasons, but still has posted and completed transactions to those addresses
System is able to process records thru interface & Order Management or other modules
Transactions Summary should not be erroring on tax validation
STEPS ----------------------- The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps: 1. Receivables Responsibility > Transactions > Transactions Summary 2. Query a range of transactions, where one transaction has a non-validated address, even though it is already posted and completed 3. Get error -- cannot go further
