Why is an Ended Element Entry is Regenerating on Assignment Record ?

Goal
An end-dated element entry is being regenerated on an assignment unexpectedly.
Example:
A Recurring Element entry was created on Assignment with following dates:
From - To
01-Sep-2016 - 31-Mar-2017
01-Apr-2017 - 04-Jun-2017
06-Jun-2017 - 31-Aug-2017
01-Nov-2017 - 30-Nov-2017
Issue is that any date tracked change to the assignment within the period 05-Jun-2017 to 04-Dec-2017 regenerates the element entry from 05-Dec-2017.
