CST : Transfer Price set to Yes, Price as incoming cost is not working when there is a time gap between shipment and receipt (Doc ID 2483279.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Cost Management - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

CST: Transfer Pricing is set -> Yes, Price As Incoming Cost

FOB -> Receipt

Costing Method -> Average

IR - XXX : 16-Nov-18
ISO - YYY : 16-Nov-18
Shipment Number - ZZZ : 17-Nov-18
AR Invoice - AAA : 17-Nov-18
Receipt - BBB : 4-Dec-2018
Inspect & Deliver : 5-Dec-2018

There will be time difference between shipment and receipt because inventory organizations of two 2 OUs are physically separated and at significant distance in few cases.

IR created @ source organization's average cost price.
AR Invoice created @ Transfer Price.
Receipt created at some other price not matching any of the above mentioned prices (which should have happened at Transfer Price for the case where Profile value "CST : Transfer Price" is set to "Yes, Price as incoming cost").
Receipt created at a price not matching either the source Organization’s average item cost (IR price) or the AR Invoice price (Transfer Price), which as per the documents should have happened at Transfer Price.
