Security Rule Preventing Entry of Correct Segment Value (Doc ID 248817.1)

Symptoms

A security rule is correctly defined and assigned to a responsibility
Entering one segment value not secured by the security rule returns an error message
Error Message : Value Secured: followed by the defined security rule message

The security type of the value set for the segment with the problem is set to Hierarchical Security.

Changes

Problem started to occur after an upgrade to 11i.FND.D and after setting the security type of the value set to Hierarchical Security.
