How to Give an Error Message Using Forms Personalizations? (Doc ID 2490334.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Various types of Messages are available within the Forms Personalizations - Personalize Page workbench.

The following is an example that shows how to setup an error message - validating a specific field - to have a specific formatting - and if it is not present - an error is displayed.

Example: Ensure that the email address is properly having the @ symbol and the field has a value entered for all new usernames being entered.
If it is not entered or missing the @ symbol, the username should not be saved and an error message given to the user.
