Can We Use Category Hierarchy For Non-catalog Requests? (Doc ID 2495729.1)

Goal

We have a 3 segment category - we would like to have the users select the correct category on a requisition by using tree or dependent functionality - e.g.

Office Equipment, Accessories and Supplies < - browsing category
Office Supplies < - browsing category
Desk Furniture < - item category
Calendars < - item category
Writing Instruments < - browsing category
Ball Point Pens < - item category
  
When user is raising a Non Catalog request we want them to be able to first select 'Office Equipment, Accessories and Supplies'
 - which then offers them 'Office Supplies' and 'Writing Instruments'
 - if they then select Office Supplies - we want them to be offered only 'Desk Furniture' or 'Calendars'
