Lot Expiration Date Not Updated Correctly (Doc ID 2496169.1)

Symptoms

Lot expiration date not updated correctly

Our system is synced with MES. From MES the lot expiration date comes to EBS.
First we use inv_lot_api_pub.insertlot API to insert the lot with expiration date.
This API successfully inserts the correct expiration date.
After that we are calling inv_lot_api_pub.update_inv_lot API to update lot attributes.
For some cases we do not want to update the expiration date so we are not passing any value to expiration date of the record.
But the API internally does the calculation and changes the expiration date.
For your information the shelf life code of that item is 2.
Please let me know how to fulfill this requirement.


Steps to reproduce
------------------------------
1. Update expiration date using API
2. Observe that the date is calculated using origination date+shelf life days
