Performance On Jtf.CAC_SR_SCHDL_DETAILS (Doc ID 2498043.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Common Applications Calendar - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In 12.2.4, Index on jtf.CAC_SR_SCHDL_DETAILS

We have performance problems with custom report (Absence Balance Report)

After analysis found that most time consuming functions operate on table jtf.CAC_SR_SCHDL_DETAILS.
To reduce function cost there is need to create index on table jtf.CAC_SR_SCHDL_DETAILS on attributes (SCHEDULE_OBJECT_ID, START_DATE_TIME, END_DATE_TIME)
In this table index on SCHEDULE_OBJECT_ID attribute exists but for singular schedule_object_id we have about 10000 records to process, so the existing index granularity is not sufficient.

Please advice if we can create additional index

create index jtf.XX_CAC_SR_SCHDL_DETAILS_IDX1 on jtf.CAC_SR_SCHDL_DETAILS (SCHEDULE_OBJECT_ID, START_DATE_TIME, END_DATE_TIME)
