Transaction Reason Security Is Not Working As Expected When Trying to Perform Purchase Receipt, RTV, And Correction Transactions (Doc ID 2502707.1)

Transaction reason security does not appear to be respected for purchase orde receipt, RTV and correction related transactions. Transaction reason related information
is showing available across various responsibilities regardless whether transaction reason security has been setup or not for concerned responsibility.


Transaction reason security to be respected for purchase order receipt, RTV and correction related transactions and not be available in the list of values to choose from when using certain responsibilities.

1) Check if profile INV: Transaction Reasons Security is set at the site level with value of 'Yes'.
2) Using an inventory related responsibility navigate to:
a. Setup/Transactions/Reasons
b. Enter a transaction reason name
c. For reason type field enter 'Receiving' or look up value 'Receiving'.
d. Go to tools menu and click on 'Actions'.
e. Enable the checkbox 'All Transaction Types'.
f. For Responsibility choose or enter value 'Inventory'.
g. Create a miscellaneous receipt or issue related transaction and you should see be able to see recent reason code.
h. Repeat the process again, but this time create new reason and assign specific transaction type for specific responsibility.
In this case, responsibility will be something like 'Purchasing Super User'.
h. Create a purchase order and try to perform receipt against the purchase order and you should only see the available transaction
reason code/s that were defined from transaction reason security. You should not be able to see the one that was available to the 'Inventory' responsibility.
