Symptoms

Problem Statement:

ADOP cleanup phase completes with a warning related to PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP when applying either of the following patches:

26787767 - ORACLE E-BUSINESS SUITE 12.2.8 RELEASE UPDATE PACK

OR

26787667 - R12.HR_PF.C.delta.12

[ERROR]     ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP
ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid, SQL[ORA$BASE]: drop SYNONYM "APPS"."PER_SUITMATCH_COMP" force

[WARNING]   Could not drop covered object [ORA$BASE] APPS.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP (SYNONYM): ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP
ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid

[WARNING]   Could not remove all covered objects

 

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Apply Patch: 26787767 or 26787667

  2.  Complete adop phases finalize then cutover
     
  3.  adop phase=cleanup -- this gives a warning on the invalid object
