PAY_COSTING_PROJECTS_V View Is Not Picking All Payroll Costed Elements. (Doc ID 2508150.1)

Symptoms

PAY_COSTING_PROJECTS_V view is not picking up all payroll costed run results. When there is some change made mid period that results in prorated results, the view only picks up the results as of the date earned of the pay period. It is not picking up any costs where the element entry end date is prior to the date earned. Because of this, not all project costs are flowing to Oracle Project Costing through the 'PRC: Process Payroll Actuals' process.

Development verified in <Bug 28843339>:

"View PAY_COSTING_PROJECTS_V was designed to fetch the details as per the Date Earned. If an Element entry has date track update in the Payroll period, then the record which includes Date Earned is considered.

This view was created earlier as per requirements from Project team. If the requirement is to include all the element entry records with in the Payroll period, then please get the request validated by Projects team and raise a new bug against Payroll team for the change."


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Make some change to assignment so that there are prorated payroll results in a pay period
2. Run Costing process
3. Run 'PRC: Process Payroll Actuals' process and find that not all payroll costs are transferred to Projects.
