Discrete Jobs Generate via Planner Workbench Exhibit Incorrect bom_revision_date and routing_revision_date (Doc ID 2509457.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Work in Process - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When planned work orders are generated via the Planner Workbench, the bom_revision_date and routing_revision_date become incorrectly the scheduled_completion_date. Therefore, the components of work order are wrong.
However, when discrete jobs are created manually, the system correctly creates the work order with the field bom_revision_date and routing_revision_Date with the schedule_start_date.

Example:
When Releasing Planned Order Suggested Start 21-FEB and Suggested Due 28-FEB, the work order requires the component that was not required in the Planned Order that origins the Work Order.
This happens because Work order Bom Revision changes to the Due Date of the planned Order (the same happens with Routing Revision).

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The bom_revision_date and routing_revision_date should be correct when planned work orders are generated via the Planner Workbench

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to the Planner Workbench.
2. Generate planned work orders.
3. WIP Mass Load generates jobs.
4. The bom_revision_date and routing_revision_date are incorrect.
