Goal

Question 1:

Customer is unable to create policy on OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL table but not on Hashed view OE_ORDER_HEADERS# and synonym OE_ORDER_HEADERS.

Customer wants to understand how policy would be working on Hash view and synonym in R12.2.7, as it was working previously in R12.1.3 when applied on base table, and while customer is upgrading on R12.2.7, and as per oracle policy it should be moved on synonym or hash view but it is not working in that scenario.

Kindly explain the working of policy on hash views or synonyms which has been changed from base table as compared to R12.1.3 version.

Question 2:

When running GSCC ( code checker ) it is giving below mentioned message. Customer would like to get confirmation from Oracle, is it OK to create policy on Synonym? If yes, why the GSCC gives the error , when they run GSCC.

This script is getting GSCC failure with below message:
Errors (1):
File.Sql.80 (Code Reviewers: CODE_REVIEWER)
46, 60, 74 - VPD Policy must be on the Editioning View or Table Synonym, not the table
