Oracle Shipping Execution Release Notes for Release 12.2.7 (Doc ID 2294555.1) states the following:

"The integration between Oracle Shipping Execution and Oracle Transportation Management has been enhanced. There is no longer a requirement to create deliveries to send to Oracle Transportation Management. The new Create Batches for Transportation Planning concurrent program enables you to select delivery lines to create a batch. The Shipping-Transportation Outbound Interface concurrent program then sends the batch to Oracle Transportation Management for planning."

Despite  the document stating that this will be available only in EBS Release R12.2.7, these new features can be seen in the Release 12.2.6 instance already.  They appeared after applying recent patches.  User was able to run the new Create Batches program.
1. Does Oracle confirm the functionality is available and working in Release 12.2.6 also?

2. The profile option WSH: Delivery Based OTM Integration to enable this new feature is at site level only.  That means that Oracle wants users to choose between deliveries and batches.  Can the two co-exist for businesses already using deliveries for a long time, but find that they want to use batches for new functionality only (such as deployment)?
