Unchecking the Inventory Item Attribute Results in Error: Process Execution Enabled flag cannot be Yes if the item is not an inventory item and is not Recipe Enabled (Doc ID 2524615.1)

Symptoms

When attempting the uncheck the Inventory Item attribute, the following errors are displayed:

 1. Organization <ORG_CODE>: Process Execution Enabled flag cannot be Yes if the item is not an inventory item and is not Recipe Enabled
 2. Change Master Controlled attributes of this Master Item has caused validation errors in the Child item.

Steps

  1. Login using the Development Manager responsibility and Change Organization to the Master org.
  2. Navigate: Item Catalog> Item Simple Search, perform a search for the item and open the item page.
  3. In the Inventory section, uncheck the Inventory Item attribute, save and get the error.
