Profile Option 'GL: Number of journal lines to display in AME journal approval notification' Not Working, It Only Displays 10 Lines (Doc ID 2525812.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 10, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

'GL: Number of journal lines to display in AME journal approval notification' profile option is not working. It has been set to 50, still notifications show 10 journal lines at the most.

Technical brief in <Note 2038960.1> Oracle General Ledger Journal Approvals Integration with Oracle Approvals Management (AME) and Oracle Workflow -  shows:
'The profile option: GL: Number of journal lines to display in AME journal approval notification determines the maximum number of lines to display in the journal approvals notification, which is sent to the journal approver(s).
The default value is set to 5. If the journal contains more than 5 lines, a hyperlink enables the approver(s) to access the full journal in Oracle General Ledger.
It is recommended that you do not set the value to higher than 10 due to a limitation with the file size of the workflow approval notification'.

This outlines the recommended value and not a maximum setup value.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. System administrator > set profile option GL: Number of journal lines to display in AME journal approval notification to 50 at site level
2. Check a notification, 10 lines are displayed

Changes

Setup change for the profile option.
