OVERLAPPING EFFECTIVITY DATES CAUSES ORDER IMPORT FAILURE (Doc ID 2528288.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Transaction Entry

When attempting to import a sales order the following error is seen in the log file:

 UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE CONFIGURATION BECAUSE SOME ITEMS HAVE OVERLAPPING EFFECTIVITY DATES.

When users attempt to adjust the effectivity dates in BOM (as detailed in Note 435821.1), an error message is received.


ERROR

APP-INV-05285: Disable date must be greater than or equal to today

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Order Management responsibility
2. Run order import
3. Exception is seen in the Order Import log file.
4. Navigate to BOM -> Bills -> Bills
5. Query the component
6. Under the 'Date Effectivity' tab attempt to change the 'To' date,
7. Error is displayed: APP-INV-05285
