Can I change System Parameter on Claims from Claim Date to System Date AFTER Claims sent for Approval?

Problem Description
An error has occurred during Approval of Claim "DED12381".

Error Log: 1: SYSPARAM: Post to GL is T
2: Source Table : OZF_CLAIMS_ALL
3: The GL date : 25-MAR-2019 is not in an open or future enter able period
4: An error happened when creating Adjustment in AR through AR Adjustment Public API.

Would changing system parameter to System Date allow the date to be updated upon Approval?
