State Tax Withheld Reported On US Gross To Net Report Does Not Match Element Details (Doc ID 2535632.1)

Symptoms

The value for EE SIT Withheld reported on the US Gross to Net report is more than the sum of the element details from the Element Register report for the same time periods and payroll run. It is found that some reports match the Gross to Net and others don't.

For example:

US Gross to Net:          $ 770,397.92
Payroll Register Totals     770,397.92
Element Register Report  770,323.02
Periodic Detail Report      770,323.02

It is believed the Element Register and the Periodic Detail Report are correct.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run US Gross to Net Summary Report
2. Run Element Register Report
3. Compare totals and find SIT EE Withholding does not balance
