Emails Are Stuck In IEM_RT_PP_QUEUES Table With Flag Status 'B' (Doc ID 2535926.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to send email to email accounts,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Unable to open a new folder connection. The IMAP server or the email server could be down. Please contact
your site administrator.
javax.mail.MessagingException: A3 NO Server Unavailable. 15; nested exception is:
com.sun.mail.iap.CommandFailedException: A3 NO Server Unavailable. 15 at
com.sun.mail.imap.IMAPFolder.open(IMAPFolder.java:1024) at
com.sun.mail.imap.IMAPFolder.open(IMAPFolder.java:952) at
oracle.apps.iem.emta.account.EMCFolderManager.getFolder(EMCFolderManager.java:110) at
oracle.apps.iem.emta.account.EMTAAccountConnection.getFolder(EMTAAccountConnection.java:235) at
oracle.apps.iem.emta.account.EMTAAccountConnection.getFolder(EMTAAccountConnection.java:277) at

by: com.sun.mail.iap.CommandFailedException: A3 NO Server Unavailable. 15 at
com.sun.mail.iap.Protocol.handleResult(Protocol.java:399) at


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Change the email accounts server from exchange servers to a different sever
2. Send the email from mail client to IEM email account
3. Using below SQL, check the status of the emails which are not getting processed and still in inbox,

4. Navigate to (R) Email center administrator > Monitoring > Download Processor.
5. Select the email account DP error icon for more details.
