Asset <ASSET_ID> already exists in <BOOK_NAME> Book When Attempting to Activate a Lease Contract (Doc ID 2538213.1)

On : 12.1.3 version

When attempting to activate a lease contract or a rebook contract the following error occurs:

Asset <ASSET_ID> already exists in <BOOK_NAME> book

Note: that the value in this error is an Asset ID and not an Asset Number.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Rebook a contract.
2. Add one or more Assets to the contract during the rebook.
3. Attempt to activate the rebook contract.
