Explicit Compatibility Rules Intermittently Evaluating Incorrectly For Some Options At Runtime After Logic Generation (Doc ID 2540038.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Configurator Developer - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.5 version, Active Model Generation

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
It's observed that Explicit Compatibility Rules are intermittently allowing for incorrect selections on the associated option classes based on the definition of the rule. For instance, if one option defined that 'Option A' was selectable with 'Option 1', it's observed that 'Option 4' is instead selected, which should be associated as explicitly compatible with another component based on rule definition.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It's expected the explicit compatibility rule will work as defined, only allowing selections of defined options as set in the design chart.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Oracle Configurator Developer responsibility
2. Navigate to an impacted model
3. Select 'Test Model' using the debugger
4. Make selections in one of the associated option classes
5. Observe that the incorrect option on the associated option class is selected
