Goal

You want to enter a cost adjustment to an asset which will reduce the cost to 0 or negative from a positive amount, and you want to amortize this to open period.  The asset has accumulated depreciation at the time you attempt this.  When you do this the system gives the message:

 

APP-OFA-48392:  The amounts you entered cause the results of the adjustment to be invalid for the amortization date you entered.
