Modelling Requiring 2 Decimal Places To Be Entered On 12.2.7 (Doc ID 2544752.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to enter a simulation earnings element to enter hours, R12.1.3 does not require decimal places to be entered but On R12.2.7, if you do not enter 2 decimal places and click next the following error occurs.

Exception: Error was encountered when processing Element Type Regular Hours (80 or less) - Hours:Incorrect format for Hours in Decimal format (2 places) unit of measure. ,In VO: null
fnd.framework.webui.OAPageErrorHandler OAF LOG: Event : Check Errors, in: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageErrorHandler: Exception: Error was encountered when processing Element Type Regular Hours (80 or less) - Hours:Incorrect format for Hours in Decimal format (2 places) unit of measure.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Payslip Modeling > click "Yes, I agree ... " box > click "next" > Enter the simulation element for hours > enter 80 > click "next" > get error

 

Changes

 Input value for Hours on both R12.2.7 and R12.1.3 are Decimal (2 places).

If enter (for example, 80 hours). To get rid of the error, one has to enter 80.00.

On R12.1.3, we can enter 80 and it does not error.
