Error 'Java.io.IOException: Error in Encoded Stream: Needed 4 Valid base64 Characters' When Trying To Send Or Open Emails (Doc ID 2546128.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to open the emails under Service Requests history tab in Agent Dashboard,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

javax.mail.MessagingException: ; nested exception is: java.io.IOException: Error in encoded stream: needed 4 valid base64 characters but only got 1 before EOF, the valid characters were: "g"

For some emails, the error message shows the valid characters were "ly", "ily", "e=".

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to (R) Customer Support Specialist -> Agent Dashboard
2. Select the SR number and click on History tab
3. Click on Email link
