When a WebADI document (Excel Workbook) is being created, it opens the BootStrap document, from this one the document creation operation is launched. There is a Mini excel browser - message window that informs the document is being created, data is being downloaded, and completion of the process. In Excel 2010 and before both workbooks and mini browser window were opened within a Single Excel application/window. This is called SDI. The mini browser window was visible all the time.
After Excel 2013, each excel work book is opened in its own Excel Application. This is called MDI.
User cannot completely see the Mini excel browser(message window) so users are required extra operation to close this message window. Besides it is difficult for users to know when download has completed since Close button is hidden.
