Padding Function In Etext Template Does Not Count Double-byte Characters As Two Byte (Doc ID 2554167.1)

Symptoms

On 12c version, Designing Layout Templates

For etext output, if the field contains Chinese characters( it is more likely for any 2 bytes characters, such as languages D,E,EL,ESA,F,JA,KO,PTB,US,ZHS,ZHT), the padding function does not count Chinese character as 2 byte in length, instead it count as 1 byte in length, which leads the wrong staring position for the following fields.

The “TEMPLATE_TYPE” should be “FIXED_POSITION_BASED”.
