Error While Opening Attachments Sent Through Oracle Email Center

On : 12.1.3 version, Message Component
When attempting to open PDF attachment through Oracle Email Center the following error occurs.
ERROR

Error while opening PDF attachments send through Oracle Email Center
Error: There was an error processing a page. A file I/O error has occurred, An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.
Similar error appears while trying to open word attachments as well .
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Apply Patches Patch 20924889:R12.OWF.B and Patch 9452181
2.Send emails through Oracle Email Center with a PDF attachment
The attachment gets corrupted and the receiver of the email is unable to open the attachment.
WHAT IS WORKING
-----------------------
The same PDF document opens without any issues if it is shared with the same recipient separately through Microsoft Outlook.t the problem.
