When defining an enterprise level cMRO Resource, the inventory org level BoM Resources are associated with the cMRO resource. The user can also associate the inventory org level BoM Department to which the BoM Resource is assigned.
According to current design, multiple BoM Resources can be associated with each cMRO Resource as shown in the attached document. The checkbox labeled ‘One BoM Resource per Org’ is used to enforce a one to one relationship between the cMRO Resource and a single BoM Resource within an Inventory Org. If this checkbox is checked more than one BoM Resource per inventory org cannot be added without encountering the error message -
" Only one BOM Resource per ORganization is allowed to attach to the Resource" .
Each Operation will also inherit the matching Resource’s Department, if it is defined in the cMRO Resources definition. If a specific Department is not defined, then it will inherit the Visit’s Department.’
It appears to be only true when the ‘One BoM Resource per Org’ checkbox is checked. If left unchecked the Resource Department is not inherited. Instead the system behaves as if no specific Department is defined which, as stated above, will cause the Operation to inherit the Visit’s Department. This is unexpected behavior and ask if it can be corrected or provide an explanation or clarity on whats the Intent of the FLAG, how it is supposed to work?
