Scheduled Dates In Recurrence Tasks Are Not Populated Correctly (Doc ID 2578173.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Field Service - Version 12.1.3.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3.3 version, Task Scheduling & Assignment

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Find that the scheduled dates in recurrence tasks are wrongly populated.
In case task is scheduled from one day to another (like start date is 03-Aug-2018 17:00:00 and end is 04-Aug-2018 02:00:00) and a recurrence task is created, the scheduled end date in the original task will change to the one of the scheduled start date, while time remains unchanged (start date remains 03-Aug-2018 17:00:00 while end changes to 03-Aug-2018 02:00:00) which means that start is before end.
Also the new tasks are populated with these incorrect dates.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a task with planned effort of 9 hours.
2. Schedule the task from 03-Aug-2018 17:00:00 to 04-Aug-2018 02:00:00.
3. Create recurrence task.
