Request the Ability to Have 'Enable Contract Coverage' Checked Without Having 'Track in Installed Base' also Checked (Doc ID 2588648.1)

Goal

Why is there a requirement on the Service tab of the Item Master form that checking the "Enable Contract Coverage" checkbox requires that "Track in Installed Base" also be checked? We want the ability to be able to create Service Contracts with a level of "Item" without these being tracked in IB.
