Apply Item Template Is Applying The Template To The Old Items Instead Of Newly Searched Items After Refine Query (Doc ID 2600005.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior :

Apply Item  Template is not working properly after performing the Refine Query.  The Template is getting applied to old searched and cached items. Its not applying to the newly searched items after refine query

Expected Behavior:

Item template should get applied to the newly searched items after refine query

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Navigate to Master data > Trade Items
2.Search for 1st set of items (e.g Search with SRITEM ) (say set1)
3.Select 15 items
4.Perform Apply Item Template
5.Enter Template as 'SR-Template A'
6.Verify the results as success
7.Click on Refine query
8.Search for second set of items ( e.g Search with SRITEMB) (Say Set2)
9.Select 2 or 3 items
10.Perform Apply Item Template
11.Enter Template as 'SR-TEMPLATE B'
Now the template 'SR-TEMPLATE B' is getting applied to the old searched items (set 1) and not for the newly searched items (set 2) The template for all the 15 above items (set 1) are getting applied and shown in the results
