AP Interface Is Getting Populated With Decimal Values For A Currency With Precision 0 After OIC Payment (Doc ID 2600260.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Incentive Compensation - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You are implementing one new OU in Oracle R12 (12.2.5). The functional currency of this OU is JPY (Japanese Yen) with precision as 0 for this currency. While working with OIC (Oracle Incentive Compensation), for a sales order in USD (US Dollar), commissions get calculated in JPY and you find that after making the payment for the payment batch in OIC, AP Interface is getting populated with decimal values for the invoice amount in this case. As a result, when you run the 'Payables Open Interface Import' program to create the AP Invoice it is ending in error with the message 'Invalid Precision in Invoice Amount'.

After the making the payment in OIC, you expect that the AP interface will be populated without decimal values, since the precision of the currency in question (JPY) is 0.
