Updating Depreciation Expense Account on Category Fails with "This Combination is Expired" (Doc ID 2602710.1)

Symptoms

 When attempting to update the Depreciation Expense Account on an active category, the update fails with "This Combination has Expired".  However, both the to and from combinations are not expired, and neither are any of the segment values in both those combinations.
