Why an Inactive Customer Account Is Still Showing Up In 'Account Details' form? (Doc ID 2609581.1)

When setting an customer account to inactive, the Party, Party Site, Account Site and Site Uses are inactivated as well.
When searching on the customer name or number in 'Customer Standard' page in Receivables,  the account does not list in the selection, unless the selection is changed to search for 'Inactive' accounts.

When searching from the Collections form under 'Customer Accounts' or 'Customer Account Details' (via: Receivables --> Collections) the account does list in the search selection listing.
How can this be, as there are no active invoices/transactions for this customer any longer?
