Shipping Operations Page (HTML) Error in Deliveries, Trips and Stops Tabs After Changing Date Format (Doc ID 2610057.1)

On : 12.2.6 version, Shipping Transactions form

After date format is changed the Shipping Operations page (Shipping Execution Simplified UI) displays error in Deliveries, Trips and Stops tab

The page shows this message:

You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact your System Administrator for assistance

Click on "Exception Details" and there is a very long list. This is a partial snippet:
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation. Statement: SELECT * FROM (SELECT WshNewDeliveryEO.ACCEPTANCE_FLAG, WshNewDeliveryEO.ACCEPTED_BY, WshNewDeliveryEO.ACCEPTED_DATE ....

Other Details
==> Issue occured after changing the default date format: dd-MMM-yyyy to format to yyyy.MM.dd using Responsibility: Preferences SSWA > General
==> There is no error when the default date format is used: dd-MMM-yyyy
==> Other date formats experiencing the same error: yyyy-MM-dd, yyyy-MMM-dd

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Preferences SSWA > General
2. Change the default date format: dd-MMM-yyyy to format to yyyy.MM.dd
3. Responsibility: Shipping Operations > Deliveries
4. Form shows mentioend error
