Symptoms

Concurrent program "Serial number generation" (INCTSN_SRS) is failing with the following error as seen in the log file"

[30-SEP-19 14:11:09] INV_TRX_MGR: **Ex in generateSerial:oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleSQLException: ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement


A trace shows the following (note that the entire parsed SQL statement is "C_ATTR ...") which indicates some sort of corruption:
