IAsset Error While Opening Request (Doc ID 2623447.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to 12.2.9, when attempting to open any request in iAssets (previously existing or newly created), the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.table.OAColumnBean cannot be cast to oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.OAKeyFlexBean


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Attempt to open a request by clicking the relevant link.
