UPK: Installing UPK 12.1.0.2 Error "The authentication mode chosen in the installer does not agree with the authentication mode configured in the database" (Doc ID 2626926.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to install UPK 12.1.0.2 on a new Windows 2012 server the following error occurs.




The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run setup.exe
2. Choose "UPK Server"
3. Select "Standard Authentication".
4. Select "Yes the scripts have already been run for this version"
5. See error
