Equipment Leases Not Using Distribution Set Information (Doc ID 2638772.1)

Oracle Property Manager - Version 12.2.8 and later

On an Equipment lease when a Distribution Set is used, the account from the “Expense” account distribution class on the term template is incorrectly required and then used, and the account from distribution set is ignored. So there are two related issues around the Term Templates/Distribution sets.

1) The term template should not require accounts distribution lines when there is a distribution set attached. It should work the same as the Term Templates for property leases (which DO NOT require that the account distribution lines are entered when a distribution set is attached).

2) If a Distribution set is attached, then the account distribution should be coming from it, not the Account Distribution on the term template (which shouldn’t even be available to populate - again it should work the same as the templates/distribution sets on for property leases).

Without the distribution set there is no way to pass the Award and Project information to the AP invoice and on to the Grants/Projects application, which also needs to process the transaction (in addition to it being recorded to the related GL account).

Utilize the Equipment Lease page and attempt to put in a lease with a distribution set.

Equipment Lease page is new, and in its original released version does not have the same functionality for distribution sets as the Property Lease form.
