Unable To Ship A Substitute Item on an Internal Order

In Order Management, you can open an Internal Sales Order that was created automatically by the system from an Internal Requisition. However, when you try replace the ordered Item with its defined substitute, the system gives the following message:
Steps to Reproduce
1. Responsibility : Order Management
2. Nav Path : Quick Sales Order
3. Button : Expand Line Details Button
4. Click : Related Items Check Box
Your only option is (a) cancel the Internal Order line, (b) recreate a new internal requisition with the substitute Item, and (c) create a new internal sales order from that internal requisition.
