Items With Purchased checkbox checked and Purchasable checkbox unchecked Appearing In iProcurement Search

Symptoms
When attempting to search Item (with Purchased checkbox checked and Purchasable checkbox unchecked) from store, Item appears in search results with the following error:
ERROR
The system could not determine the Internal source for Item xxx. Contact Purchasing Administrator to define appropriate sourcing rules.
STEPS
1.Navigate to Purchasing Responsibility -> Items -> Master Items
2.Query by item Number xxx and navigate to Purchasing tab
3.For the item xxx, Purchased checkbox is checked, and Purchasable checkbox unchecked
4.Navigate to iProcurement Responsibility -> iProcurement Home Page-> Shop -> Stores
5.Search by Item xxx from Store
