"Midpoint Rescheduling" functionality, changes the dates of previously completed Operations along with the Operations that are after it. (Doc ID 2651843.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Work in Process - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, Transactions

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

When the Incomplete Operations are Rescheduled, this process is also changing the Dates of the already Completed Operations.

Current workaround is to manually update the date of the resources and of the owning operations.
But this is very difficult as all resources must be within the operation limits and the operations to respect the chronological order and dates.
Changing dates on the all operations is very manual effort consumption activity.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
We are looking for the solution to change dates on the incomplete operations (rescheduling Operations) without effecting the completion dates on the already completed operations.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
 1. Login to WIP(R)
 2.JOB/Schedule>Operations
3.Query the Job and Change the Start date of the Incomplete Operation Click Reschedule.
4.Observe that completion dates on the completed operations also changed.
