AROPCLAP: AR:Open/Close Accounting Period

Purpose

The document explains about a new feature in EBS AR(Oracle Receivables), which helps user to programmatically open/close the accounting period in AR either via Concurrent Program or API. Along with Open or Close, Period can be changed to other allowed status like Close pending, Not Opened and Future.

Scope

This document is to be used by Oracle E-Business Suite customers who wants to automate the Period Open or Close in AR Module, and want to reduce manual efforts by users every month to Open and Close the period.
The feature would be beneficiary to customers who have large number of periods to be open or closed every month (or at any regular interval based on the period type).
