Why Can't I Add A Particular Item To My Delete Group? (Doc ID 2652491.1)

Goal

An attempt is made to delete a newly created item (unused item).
The item is queryable in the Organization Items form.
A delete group is created in Inventory but the item doesn't appear in the LOV (List Of Values) so it can't be added to the delete group.
Why doesn't the item appear in the LOV?

Steps

  1. Navigate: Inventory > Items > Delete Group
  2. Ensure Type = "Item"
  3. Enter a delete group name (or use existing one)
  4. In the Item field, try to search for or add the item.
    The item is not found
    Receive message "No entries found for List of Values"
